How to care for dyed hair  

Congratulations, you are leaving our studio with freshly dyed hair! To make your color last as long as possible, it is important to take proper care of it. This is your thorough guide on how to do it.  

Do not wash your hair for 48 hours after your visit to us. 

PRODUCTS
Unless your hairdresser has recommended otherwise, the ideal shampoo and conditioner for dyed hair is #MyDentity, because this is the brand you dyed your hair with. Both can be purchased either in our studio or in our e-shop www.tenpocit.cz . We also recommend applying a hair mask once a week to ensure the best possible hair quality. We recommend either ZENZ 03 or MyHero x2, both are of very high quality and make your hair unrecognizable #soft! If you are dealing with an advanced problem, such as dandruff, seborrhea or dry hair, our category division will lead you to the right type of shampoo and conditioner, or our team members will be happy to advise you.

HAIR WASHING
Too hot water, an overheated hair dryer, and hot tools like flat irons and curling irons have an adverse effect on color molecules. But that doesn't mean you shouldn't wash and style your hair! 😊 Wash your hair with lukewarm water - lukewarm is not hot, and it's not cold either. It should be the same temperature as your body. Comb your hair gently before washing. Hair is stronger when dry, so it's better to comb it before washing. Wet your hair thoroughly. First, rub the shampoo all over your palms, and then start massaging your scalp with it. If it doesn't start to foam, sprinkle a little water on your scalp, or repeat the wash once more. A flowing lather is enough for your hair, don't rub it in any way. Before using conditioner, gently dry your hair with a towel. First apply the conditioner from the ponytail onwards, and then use the remaining thin layer of conditioner on your palms to stroke the hair near the scalp. Leave the conditioner on for a few seconds, comb through with a plastic brush, and rinse. After washing your hair, apply a heat protectant and blow dry. You can keep your hair fresh with a good quality dry shampoo, and don't touch it too often to prevent the skin from getting oily faster. 

BLOW-DRYING AND HEAT TREATMENT
STRAIGHT HAIR: Towel dry your hair. Apply a heat protectant to damp hair (we recommend myhairlube for thick, frizzy hair, myspotlight for fine hair, or myquickblow to speed up drying) and comb through your hair. This will ensure even distribution of the product. Turn on the hairdryer to the highest speed and medium temperature and blow dry your hair. Start at the scalp, working your way down the lengths. When your hair is almost dry, attach the nozzle to the hairdryer, increase the temperature, grab your favorite brush, and start smoothing your hair from the roots to the ends. You can use a bobby pin or a hair clip to help you, smaller sections will be easier to smooth.
WAVY AND CURLY HAIR: Comb your hair in the shower with conditioner, you can optionally comb it with styling (gel or serum). Then, bend your hair forward with a cotton T-shirt or cloth, gather your hair from the bottom into your palms and wrinkle the waves with slow strokes. Put a diffuser on the hair dryer and turn it on to medium temperature and speed. First, bend forward around the scalp, then around the lengths. Only when your roots are dry, start gathering your hair into the diffuser from the ends towards the scalp. Alternate with cold air, the waves will be fixed with cold air. 

STYLING
You can curl or iron your hair, but in the case of color care, we recommend doing this rather exceptionally. Always use heat protection, you can use #mydefender spray on dry hair, which also has a light fixing function, so your waves will last longer.
